SCORM Export

Export your content as SCORM packages for LMS integration

SCORM Export

Export your Impact Learning content as SCORM packages to use in any Learning Management System (LMS). SCORM is the industry standard for eLearning content interoperability.

What is SCORM?

SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) is a set of standards that allows eLearning content to work with any compliant LMS. When you export as SCORM:

  • Content can be uploaded to your organisation's LMS
  • Learner progress is tracked automatically
  • Completion status is reported to the LMS
  • Works with thousands of LMS platforms

SCORM Versions

Impact Learning exports SCORM 1.2 packages, which are compatible with virtually all LMS platforms — including Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, SAP SuccessFactors, Cornerstone, and more.

How to Export

  1. Click the Publish button in the preview toolbar
  2. Select Export SCORM
  3. Click Export SCORM

The package is built and downloaded automatically as a .zip file, ready to upload to your LMS.

What's Included in the Package

Your SCORM export contains everything needed to run the course:

ComponentDescription
imsmanifest.xmlSCORM manifest describing the content structure

  • Success status — Pass/fail if assessments are included

Best Practices

Before Exporting

  • Test all interactive elements in the preview
  • Verify audio and images load correctly
  • Test in mobile view (many LMS users access via mobile)

Testing in LMS

After uploading to your LMS:

  1. Preview as a learner
  2. Complete the entire course
  3. Verify progress is tracked
  4. Check completion status updates
  5. Test on different devices

Troubleshooting

Package won't upload?

  • Verify the file is a .zip archive
  • Check your LMS file size limits
  • Ensure the package isn't corrupted (re-export)

Content not displaying?

  • Some LMS platforms require specific browser settings
  • Check if pop-up blockers are interfering
  • Verify the SCORM player settings in your LMS

Progress not tracking?

  • Complete the entire course to trigger tracking
